Thursday 13th June - bike *** – Around Felixstowe – sunny periods.

Today is the start of a run of winds from the sw, hopefully a little milder but loads of showers expected:( I had hoped to get out foiling around 10.30 to coinnside with low water but the wind was still too light so I had time to do my exercises in the sunny back garden while Mag headed off on her bike to see a friend at her allotment. With the wind still light I decided to have a quick spin around Felixstowe on my bike to get some pics to send to the TV weather. Down to the prom I turned left and had a tail wind as I cycled to The Fludyers shopping for some beach flower pics, then around to The Dip, through the boat yard at Felixstowe Ferry and out onto the bumpy Deben path, the highlight being a couple of avocets seeing off a egret! Then back across Marsh Lane, past the park at The Grove, through the town and home. Mag was home now doing her favourite thing, sieving compost, after sending a few pics to the TV I hitched the trailer and headed down to Squiz Lane to check out the conditions?
